The first step towards a beautiful, healthy smile is to schedule an appointment. Please contact our office by phone or complete an online appointment request.


New Patient Forms

If you are a new patient to our office, please visit our Patient Forms page to download our new patient bundle with forms that will need to be filled out when you arrive at our office. Printing them, filling them out and bringing them with you will allow us to attend to your medical needs more quickly than completing them on your arrival. Fees

At Westshore Dental Centre, we utilize the BC Dental Association Fee Guide.


Payment Options

For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Cash. All payments are due at the time treatment is rendered, unless financial arrangements are made in advance. Westshore Dental Centre also accepts payment from DentalCard® and Medicard® finance.


Dental Insurance

Westshore Dental does accept most dental plans. Contrary to popular belief our dental staff does not know which dental procedures are covered under your plan and which are not. Your dental plan is a contract that exists solely between you and your insurance company. You, the patient, are responsible for educating yourself about such things as:

  • Procedures that are covered by your plan
  • To what extent or percentage of the actual cost they are covered
  • Annual maximums, procedure maximums within your plan


If you do not already have a booklet explaining your dental benefits, ask your employer for one and ask them to explain it to you. Dental Insurance carriers consider the details of your plan to be a private matter since the Privacy Act was introduced in 2004, and will no longer provide information about your plan to a dentist or dental staff.


Why Is This Important to Know?

If you have treatment and:

  • There is no coverage under your plan contract, or
  • Your coverage has run out because you have exceeded the yearly limit of your plan, or
  • Your dentist’s fees for a procedure exceed the amount your plan allows, or
  • Your coverage has expired, after which you will be responsible for payment of the treatment


Please remember that you, the patient, are responsible for the payment of your dental treatment. If an insurance plan is in place it should be considered an aid to help you cover part of the costs. You, the patient, are responsible for any, and all, parts of the treatment fee that is not covered by your insurance plan.
